New Feature Implementation Process |
Most great software products are fashioned when software companies listen to their customers. That’s because the ideas that come from customers are typically among the best. They come from real people that use the system every day. Their ideas are usually creative and innovative. Thank you for your willingness to read about the idea process and for sharing your idea with us. This is how we handle your ideas and suggestions. First, we ask you to document the idea - to put it down on paper so it’s clearly understood. Once the idea is documented, it’s turned over to a technician who will review it and perhaps contact you for any necessary clarification. Next, every idea is reviewed by the developer team in their weekly meeting. Many, but not all ideas become part of the Commander NE program. For example, ideas and feature suggestions that are narrow in scope and result in benefits for only a few customers are ideas that we bypass. To undertake this type of narrow change tends to make the program harder to use for the average user and lacks the proper cost to benefit ratio that we look for when we change the program. On the other hand, Ideas that benefit most all of our customers and have a more universal appeal are the type of ideas that we set out to code and make a permanent part of the program. If your idea falls into this category, then a decision is made to implement these and place them on a future release of the program. Often times in the review process, we recognize a suggestion as a feature that’s already on the drawing board. Either it’s being worked right now on or is a new feature that we are almost finished programming and is soon to be tested and then released.
Whatever the
case might be with your idea, we thank you for reading this far and are
genuinely interested in hearing from you. If you complete the form
below, your idea will be presented to the program developers at the next
weekly meeting. A decision will be made and you will be personally
notified as to how we plan to handle your idea or feature suggestion.
Thank you in advance for your input. |
