Marine Microfiche Interface Software

Since introduction of the first electronic microfiche / electronic parts catalog (EPC) software in the early 90s, many OEMs in the industry have made it easy for their dealers to access and use.

The Commander parts and service system can link up or "interface" with several different microfiche programs for most OEMs. Commander passes inventory control information such as bin location, on hand quantity and pricing detail directly to the software. You can then export a list of parts from the microfiche software directly to the Commander system.

These interfaces eliminate the need to re-key parts from the microfiche program into Commander. We're told our interfaces save dealers an average up to 45 minutes per day!

Mercury Marine:  Midas and MercNET Electronic Parts Catalog / Parts Ordering Interface:

The Midas for Windows system is a program that contains Mercury's electronic microfiche software.  Midas interfaces with Commander in the following ways:

1. Parts Lookup: The Midas interface for Commander allows a dealer to select a part in Midas and view selling price, list price, cost, and bin location as they appear in Commander.  It's not necessary to leave the Midas system to know if you stock the part.
    

2. Picklist Import: Just a few mouse clicks permits selecting a part or group of parts in Midas.  Then it becomes easy to just drop them to a parts invoice, repair order, or purchase order in Commander.  You never have to re-key the parts!

Mercury's MercNET software is a fully web-based application that gives dealers direct access to Mercury's system.  Some of the features available to Mercury dealers through MercNET include weekly parts price downloads and online parts ordering.  MercNET interfaces with Commander and adds value to those features in the following ways:

1. Weekly Price Downloads: Commander Users can download parts prices weekly from MercNET ensuring that your Mercury inventory is always sold at the current price and never at an outdated price.
    

2. Online Parts Ordering: Commander lets you know when you are running low on key inventory items and manages special order parts.  You can generate Purchase Orders in Commander and upload the PO to MercNET without ever having to re-type a single part number!  Commander's Purchase Order module allows you easily receive Mercury parts when they arrive at your shop and the barcode inventory software makes it possible to automatically generate your own barcode labels in the same step.

Other Marine Electronic Microfiche Interfaces:

Commander marine sales software also interfaces with ARI PartSmart, Kawasaki KIC and Honda iN. The following features are supported in these interfaces:

1. Parts Lookup: Select a part in the microfiche program and view part information from Commander: selling price, list price, cost, and bin location.
    

2. Picklist Import: You can select a part or group of parts, then add those parts to an invoice, repair order or purchase order in Commander with just a few mouse clicks.  You never have to re-key the parts!

 ARI PartSmart Interface:

ARI PartSmart is a provider of software that handles Marine OEMs and other industries.  They also provide electronic microfiche software that works with our outdoor power equipment software and powersports / motorcycle POS software.  ARI currently provides approximately 100 electronic parts catalogs for 75 equipment manufacturers in the U.S. and Europe.
