Is your service department stressed and over worked?  The average repair operation has multiple technicians servicing numerous units every day of the week.  Your service department is doing more work than necessary if they don’t have adequate controls over certain key information: R.O. service history, parts special orders, parts inventory, and parts pricing.  Commander gives you easy access to all this information when you need it.  The result is a more profitable and efficient service department.

All customer units are now automatically linked to their respective customers as you create repair orders.  Just enter a customer’s unit information one time and it will be there when you next open an R.O. for that customer.  If your shop services multiple units for a customer, that’s no problem! Opening a new R.O. brings up a dialog box prompting you to select the unit that’s in for service today. 

The whole process eliminates unnecessary data entry and the problem of messy handwritten repair orders.  With minimal effort, you can print estimates and write repair orders containing all the pertinent information about that customer and unit being serviced.

You can also take advantage of available electronic microfiche to help complete the repairs.  Commander interfaces to popular electronic microfiche programs, too!  This allows you to create a pick list and transfer it directly onto a repair order, making it possible to create an R.O. without ever having to type a part number!

Instant access to part item numbers, descriptions and prices is a necessary part of any service department.  We connect you with parts pricing and updates for over 400 vendors which permits updating of all your prices.  It even adds new model part numbers to your system automatically!  ALL part numbers for the vendors of your choice are stored right in the Commander System, whether you are out of stock on a part needed for a repair, or you need to order a part you’ve never had in stock, the part number is stored in your system with the current price and is instantly available.  This means you never have to stop in the middle of a repair to add a part number, description or price to your inventory file!

When items need to be special ordered for a repair, you can create purchase orders with just a few clicks of your mouse.  That’s because every part number you could potentially use for a repair, is already stored in your system.   When you “post” a repair order, all the required parts not currently in stock for that job are moved to the “P.O. Pad” for ordering at the end of the day.
